Rev "1898 Awarded to George E Bouskill for rearing young of cyanorhamphus auriceps A species not previously bred in captivity in the United Kingdom. Wreath around edge. Translation of bird from Latin is Yellow-fronted Parakeet. Large medal 64mm diameter, 6mm deep.

 bronze medal will date to 1923..on one side there is an image of Crystal Palace with the following text..."THE CRYSTAL PALACE SHOW OF POULTRY, PIGEONS & RABBITS....on other side it reads "AWARDED TO G.R.HARTLEY FOR BEST SHOW HOMER"...no repairs or damage, Diameter 2"..it was retailed by W.H.Baker of London.

THE MEDAL WAS FOR THE JUBILEE SHOW, 50th GREAT NATIONAL CAGE BIRD SHOW, CRYSTAL PALACE 1909. THE MEDAL WAS AWARDED BY THE LONDON  & PROVINCIAL ORNITHOLOGICAL SOCIETY. THE MEDAL IS UN-NAMED. THE MEDAL HAS A LOVELY PATINA TO IT AND IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THE MEDAL IS 1 AND 1/2" IN DIAMETER.
I own this medal in dark blue as well as these that are here measures 1.5" x 1" . It has an enameled red section on silver with a raised bird and floral border. Rear is hallmarked ((anchor-lion- L- ?))and also engraved "CRYSTAL PALACE 1936 ADONIS" Nice gilt bronze medal cast to award a whistle bird contest. Reverse is inscribed "1934 Klasse B eerste prys WV" (first prize), signed by Huguenin, on a floral (roses) backgroung .Diameter : 53 mm. Thickness : up to 6 mm. 

THIS IS A NICE BRONZE 1933 CRYSTAL PALACE MEDAL. IT WAS FOR THE NATIONAL SHOW CRYSTAL PALACE CAGE BIRD EXHIBITION. ON THE BACK IT SAYS CLASS 251,CAGE 28, 4th- G. BARTON 1933. THE MEDAL IS 1 AND 1/16" IN DIAMETER.THIS MEDAL IS IN A GOOD CONDITION.

IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, FULLY HALLMARKED, AND ALSO MARKED ON THE BACK "S.P.C. 1921 THIS MEDAL MEASURES 1.5" IN DIAMETER. ON THE FRONT IS A CANARY SURROUNDED  AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CANARY PORTRAIT IS THE SIGNATURE/NAME "RESTALL", WHICH I PRESUME WAS THE MAKER. ON THE REVERSE ARE LAUREL WREATHS THE INSIDE BOX LID HAS THE RETAILERS DETAILS "W.R. CHRISTIE, GOLD & SILVERSMITH, 1 DRUMMOND STREET, INVERNESS". HALLMARKED SPC SILVER CANARY / BIRD MEDAL 1916. THIS LOVELY SILVER MEDAL HAS WHAT LOOKS TO BE AN ETCHED CANARY ON THE FRONT, BUT IT MIGHT BE ANOTHER BIRD. IT MEASURES 1.75" BY 1.25" . IT IS FULLY HALLMARKED AND IS ALSO MARKED ON THE BACK S.P.C. 1916.
